This is a 4-star review so it floats up in the 'good reviews' area so people will see it. We order take-out from Wonderful frequently, and the food is outstanding, an easy 4. Our one complaint is they ALWAYS OPVERCHARGE US! It seems Chinese restaurants routinely overcharge for take-out, and not just Wonderful, which is near us and whose food we love. Wonderful overcharges us for take-out every time. EVERY TIME! Last night my wife and I decided to avoid the hassle and try something new. We found Rose Garden on Yelp, it looked good, and we decided to try them. Well, I've left a full explanation of THAT experience on their record, so look there if you want to see all of what happened. What I can tell you briefly, guess what, THEY OVERCHARGED US TOO!!!! We ordered $31.25 of food (based on their online menu and prices). When my wife went there to pick up our food, I'd given her the total so they didn't overcharge her. Guess what, they charged us $39.27 for an order that should have cost $31.25 and had the nerve to tell my wife our menu was old and prices had gone up. they gave her a take-out menu and when she came home, it was the exact same prices as was on their website. I went there today and got into a major argument with the manager, and eventually she gave me $8.023 back. If you want good Chinese take-out, Wonderful is a great bet. Just make sure they don't overcharge you. And I am not picking on them. i think every Chinese restaurant feels like they can get away with this on take-out because nobody checks! Hopefully, this will create enough backlash that they'll have to stop taking advantage of take-out customers and charging us the price they promise to charge.
Super fast service and then food delivered to our table quickly. Three of us had the dinner deal. Food was all delicious. Portions were large - so much so that we had leftovers that fed us first two more meals. We would definitely recommend.
I have been going to Wonderful Chinese since 2011. I was doing a whole home remodel at that time and would come in for their won ton soup. Since that time, I've had about everything on the menu. Quick service, good food at a reasonable price. Plus, I love supporting a local business. Check them out, I think you'll agree.
I'm sure that I have reviewed Wonderful Chinese before. But it's been the only Chinese restaurant I have gone to this many years that has always been delicious and stayed dedicated to keeping their food delicious, fresh and making my family and I come back for more. Tonight my daughter and I chose to eat Family Style Dinner A which included wonton soup, egg rolls, paper wrap chicken, fried wontons, white rice or fried rice, sweet and sour pork and cashew chicken. It was absolutely wonderful just like their name. Staff is always polite when they take your order and quickly get your order together. The restaurant is always clean and welcoming.
Finally ordered takeout to try a new place that I'd driven by daily on my way to pickup my daughter. Tried dinner portions of: Sesame chicken: $12.95 Cashew chicken: $11.95 Sesame chicken was ok... probably 3 stars. It was a bit too sweet and some of the breading didn't seem fully cooked. I prefer the panda express orange chicken and so did my husband. Cashew chicken: not bad, 4 stars. Not too salty. Had lots of sauce so we ended up adding some broccoli to it. Came w Cashew, chicken, celery, zuccini. Does not come w rice. Good portion size. Husband and I were able to get almost 4 total servings out of this after adding our own brown rice (2 people, 2 meals). We'll come back to try other dishes and lunch specials. The store can also host banquets for you if needed. Overall: 3.5 stars
The food was excellent and they even have talented singers! Thank-you so much, I will be back! Stephanie
I had to ho over the hill for the day and decided I had to go to wonderful Chinese restaurant. Once again the food is soooo good and they have a very nice lunch special. While the food is fabulous the ambiance has a bit of blah and hum drum. They could use a good cleaning of the walls, as there is usually splatters of sauce on any given wall. The bathroom could use a good update and tidy up to them. Since I love love love the food I will go back. I just don't need to use the restroom.
Came by on a quiet evening before the holiday and am thankful we did! We ordered way too much food : 2 containers of all fried rice, two general chicken, 4 egg rolls, 1 lemon chicken, chow mein, and 2 large containers of hot and sour soup for about $100. It was so good and so much food , 4 people ate dinner , lunch the next day, and then dinner for one with more leftovers in the freezer. We were traveling so having good food already made was just what the doc ordered. My boyfriend says this is the best Chinese food in Sacramento and I can see why. It was delicious with huge chicken pieces, good sauce, and fresh taste. Yummy!
This is my absolute favorite restaurant. Been going here since I was a kid and the portions for lunch are amazing. Be sure to get a family size portion of the sizzling rice soup for your group (you'll each get to eat about 2 bowls). The staff have always been super friendly (for the last 20 years or so) and they cheerfully welcome us back every time. I have moved out of the state but make sure I come by here every time I return. You can't tell the people eating around you are returning customers because the food, service, and ambiance is always terrific. I'm so glad this business stayed afloat through COVID, it's one of my all time favorite restaurants ever and I've lived in WA, CA, TX, NY, AZ, MO, and WI (and South Korea).
I came here with my wife for dinner. Plenty of parking outside. We were seated right away by Lin. She then took our drink orders instantly. We got hot green tea and waters. We took a few minutes on the menu so many delicious authentic choices. we both got there special dinner options. My wife got the Cashew chicken which was celery, onion, bell peppers, ginger and garlic yum..and she got the white rice. I got the seasame chicken. The seasame chicken is pan fried and then covered in the seasame sauce yum not to spicy, but a little kick. The sauce was both sweet and savory. I got the pork fried rice for a couple dollars extra it's amazing. Both of our dishes started of with eggrolls, dumpling soup, foil wrapped chicken and wontons..yum.. The restaurant stayed busy the whole time with people picking up to go and people eating there. It was very clean and they had two bathrooms that were very clean as well. We got super quick service by Lin and everything was delicious and we had leftovers...
